About Us

Our Story

Trinity was first founded in a home in 1934. The church later moved to a location in Warrenville, then a location near downtown Naperville until 1989. The church then met in Beebe School for two years, until the present property was purchased in 1991. Over the following decade, the property was expanded to include our gym, kitchen, and full education and office wing.

Our Beliefs

One God

We believe in one eternally existent, infinite God, Sovereign Creator and Sustainer of the universe.

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Triune Godhead, that He was eternally one with the Father, and that He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Triune Godhead, that He is ever present and actively working in and with the Church of Christ.

Holy Scriptures

We believe in the plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, by which we understand the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments.

Original Sin

We believe that sin came into the world through the disobedience of our first parents, and death by sin. We believe that original sin continues to exist.

Entire Sanctification

We believe that entire sanctification is that act of God, subsequent to regeneration, by which believers are made free from original sin.

Church of the Nazarene

The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. With over 2 million members worldwide, we are united in our mission to make Christlike disciples in the nations.

Nazarene Denomination

Trinity Church of the Nazarene is part of the Church of the Nazarene, an evangelical denomination with headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. The Church of the Nazarene is part of the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition tracing its roots to an anniversary date of 1908. It was founded to spread the good news of the gospel and the message of hope and victorious, holy living.

The Church of the Nazarene is a Great Commission church. We believe that God offers to everyone forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life, and the promise of heaven when life is over by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are called to take this message to people everywhere.

We believe that Christians can experience a deeper level of Christian living in finding victory over the sin that has held them captive and powerless. Power is available to every believer to witness and serve, through a deeper relationship with God, through the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
